Licensed mobile commercial locksmith serving Skokie, North Shore, and Lake County, IL. We come directly to your business, same day, with the hardware and expertise to handle any commercial lock or security need.
A commercial lockout does not have to mean a forced entry or a damaged door. In most cases we open your business door without harming the lock, the frame, or the door itself. We carry the tools and know-how to pick, bypass, or decode the most common commercial cylinders used in storefronts, office buildings, and retail spaces across the North Shore. If the lock needs to be replaced or the cylinder drilled as a last resort, we carry common replacement hardware on the truck and can have you back inside fast. Call (847) 423-6691 and we will be on our way, same day.

We install and service ANSI Grade 1 and Grade 2 commercial lever locks for offices, retail spaces, warehouses, clinics, and multi-tenant buildings.
Commercial lever locks are rated by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) based on durability, strength, and cycle life. Grade 1 is the highest rating, built for high-traffic commercial doors. Grade 2 is a solid mid-range suitable for lighter commercial use. Both are a significant step up from residential Grade 3 hardware.
We carry and install both grades. Not sure what your doors need? We assess the traffic level, door type, and use case and recommend the right fit.
| Feature | Grade 1 | Grade 2 |
|---|---|---|

We work with the leading names in commercial lock hardware. If it is on your door, we know it.
Exit devices, commonly called panic bars or push bars, are required by the City of Chicago and Illinois fire code on certain commercial doors, including any door serving as a required means of egress from an assembly, educational, or high-occupancy space. The rule is simple: any door that could have 50 or more people behind it at any time typically must have a listed exit device installed.
We install, repair, and replace exit devices from Von Duprin and Detex, both of which manufacture fire-rated and UL-listed hardware that satisfies Chicago building department and fire department requirements. We also handle rim-mounted devices, vertical rod configurations for double-door openings, and cross-bar style push pads.
If your business has an exit door with a deadbolt or keyed lock as the only exit hardware, it may not meet fire code for the occupancy load. We can assess your door and recommend the correct exit device for your space. Call (847) 423-6691 and we will come out, same day when available, to take a look and give you an honest assessment.
Commercial doors come in many configurations. We service all of them.
Mortise locks are set into a pocket inside the door edge, making them more robust than surface-mounted hardware. They are standard on commercial buildings throughout Chicago and the North Shore. We install, rekey, and repair mortise lock bodies, cylinders, and trim from brands including Schlage, Falcon, and Adams Rite. If the mortise case is worn or the cam is stripped, we can rebuild or replace the case without cutting a new pocket in most situations.
Rim cylinders mount on the surface of the door and are common on exit devices, rim deadbolts, and some electric strike setups. We rekey and replace rim cylinders to Kwikset, Schlage, and Adams Rite keyways. If you have a rim cylinder on an exit device that is keyed to a different system than your front door, we can bring them to the same key, saving you from carrying multiple keys for your business.
A thumb turn replaces the interior key cylinder on a lock so that the door can be locked and unlocked by hand from the inside without a key. We install thumb turns on mortise deadbolts, rim locks, and glass door hardware. Thumb turns are a smart upgrade for interior fire exit doors and back doors where staff need to exit quickly without searching for a key.
Glass storefront doors with narrow aluminum frames require specialized hardware that standard cylindrical locks cannot fit. Adams Rite is the dominant brand for this door type. We install and service Adams Rite MS deadbolts, deadlatches, and rim cylinders on single and double glass storefront doors. We also handle broken glass door handles, misaligned strikes, and malfunctioning thumb turns on aluminum frame doors.
Many commercial door break-ins are not high-tech attacks. A pry bar or credit card can bypass a poorly protected latch or strike in seconds. Cover plates and latch guards add a physical barrier that makes shimming and prying significantly harder, often for a very low cost compared to replacing a damaged door frame.
A latch guard is a steel plate that mounts over the latch on the edge of the door frame, blocking the gap between the door and the frame. This gap is what a shim or credit card slides into to push back a spring latch. Installing a latch guard eliminates that vulnerability on outswing doors. We carry and install latch guards in standard and heavy-duty gauges.
A strike plate cover or door frame shield wraps around the strike area on the door frame, preventing pry attacks that try to spread the frame away from the door edge. These are especially useful on hollow metal frames and wood-frame commercial doors. Combined with a Grade 1 deadbolt, a strike shield makes forced entry significantly more difficult without any changes to the existing lock.
